Showcase.win® began its journey in 2008 when a thought leader in psychological assessments – Dr. Courtney McCashland – joined forces with Hall of Fame Football Coach – Dr. Tom Osborne with a mission to help athletes engage and build their mental edge for peak performance in their sports. Dr. McCashland applied her 30 years of discovery from testing psychological assessments in work settings to design and validate assessments that predict performance in athletics. Talent research with winning coaches and top collegiate and professional athletes revealed the success profiles of the psychological talents that top athletes apply to prepare, train, endure and perform. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) subsequently contracted Showcase.win scientists to validate the talent profiles and questions that predict the success of coaches and team athletes at UNL.
During the last decade, Dr. McCashland has further tested and refined the Showcase.win Coach Interview and partnered with innovative pioneers in mobile web-based technologies to build the Showcase.win Team Athlete Solution. Today, athletes complete a 15-minute questionnaire to uncover their Talent Zone and learn how to build their mental edge to perform in their sport. Coaches access Showcase.win results to recruit talent, build winning rosters, and accelerate performance.
Athletes competing at all levels receive very little coaching on how to build their mental edge. In many cases, feedback young athletes receive from their high school and club coaches and through social media focuses on what is wrong with them and what they are failing to deliver. The purpose of Showcase.win® is to mirror best practices in positive psychology and team performance to teach athletes what is right about them, and to apply their competitive advantage to win. When young athletes realize their psychological strengths during critical years of development, this builds self esteem and positive identity in all aspects of their lives. Through studying top athletes, who are aspirational role models in every sport, Showcase.win is designed to harness the strengths of student athletes at all levels and build the confidence of developing athletes to Strive, Think, Relate and Deliver a better future.

Dr. Courtney McCashland serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Showcase.win, LLC, an athletic talent recruiting and coaching solution that measures the mental strengths of athletes and develops their competitive edge to win. McCashland worked with Hall of Fame Coach Dr. Tom Osborne to conduct performance research to pilot the Showcase athletic assessments with team athletes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Prior to launching Showcase.win, LLC., McCashland served as President of Global Science & Strategy for
IBM’s Smarter Workforce, following her three-years of service as President of Kenexa’s Global Assessment
Division. During this time, McCashland worked with an expert team of IO Psychologists to design an

2015.

More
Cristini commenced his career as an intern at SEGA Games in 1995 in San Francisco, which kicked off his budding professional career as a software professional. He learned the importance of teamwork and how technology affects the dynamics of working on teams in various global geographic locations. With this mindset and learned skills over time, he began to lead small and large teams across the country.
Cristini was born and raised in Detroit, MI. Like many children in the 80’s, he became intrigued with the boom of the arcades and the pinball machines. He would spend many days and hours playing pinball and other games. Realizing he was spending too much money, he became interested in recreating some of the arcade games at home. As he got older, he began reading gaming magazines and researched college text books on how to create a computer game. When he finally produced his own game at home, he showed it to his family and they were all blown away by the game and how it worked. This wow moment fueled his interest and passion towards a career in the software industry.
Having a strong family influence from his mother, he learned determination, the sky’s the limit and good values were essential to success. When he was a teenager, his grandfather opened a plumbing business. Joined by his father, the plumbing business became very successful and expanded to other trades in the construction industry. Seeing their business skills and work ethics first hand, Cristini learned perseverance, hard work and dedication were behaviors needed to be good at something. "I don’t take anything in life for granted," says Cristini. "I work hard to complete projects and look forward to the beginning of a new one."
Cristini enjoys travelling with his wife to Cabo, St. Lucia, Maui and other exotic places. Vacationing on islands are his favorite spots to enjoy snorkeling and other water sports. His goal is to visit the Great Barrier Reef in Northeastern Australia someday. His hobby is not only therapeutic but he enjoys maintaining a 350-gallon saltwater fish tank with aquatic gardens. In the early hours of the day, you can find him day trading and is intrigued by the complexities and mechanics of the stock equities and futures markets.
